The Scottish Borders Community Safety
Forum is an active multi-agency partnership with a clear focus to make
the Scottish Borders a safer place to live, work and visit.
The Forum has a number of sub-groups that help to us to achieve our aims:
• Anti-Social Behaviour Working Group
• Racial Equality Group
• Domestic Abuse Group
• Home Safety Working Group
• Drug and Alcohol Action Team Communities Sub-Group
Community Councils can also greatly assist us with our aims as they are
directly in touch with what’s happening on the ground. We value your views
on what’s working, what’s not and how issues can be addressed on a
multi-agency basis. Without your help we can’t be aware of all the issues
throughout the Borders. Help us to help maintain the highest possible
quality of life for all.
The Forum assists many community led organisations through our Community
Chest. This fund provides financial assistance to allow groups to tackle
issues that are important to them and their local community. Grants up to
value of £500 can be considered for projects with a community safety focus.
Further details on the Community Chest is enclosed.
If you have any queries, or would like to contribute to any of the
sub-groups we would be happy to hear from you.
